Connexions 2024: the artistic tapestry of Milton Keynes
Connexions 2024 ran from 16 October to 16 November at Milton Keynes Central Library. This year brought together an even greater number of talented local artists, making it a rich experience for art lovers and enthusiasts alike.
Our mission
Celebrating artistic diversity
Connexions is an independent art event that gives artists a platform to show their work and express themselves visually. Each artist curates their own best pieces, offering a glimpse into their artistic essence.
The emphasis is on artists choosing what they believe are their most significant works: not just one or two pieces, but a series or a set of personal favourites.
An inclusive approach
The exhibition embraces sculpture, photography, textile art and oil painting. Milton Keynes has a thriving art community, yet much of its talent stays unseen, often limited to a few pieces shown at themed occasions.

The public gets to experience these works in real life rather than only through a screen. Art can touch us in profound ways and leave a lasting impression, whether by stirring emotion, sparking a personal revelation or simply captivating us with its beauty.

Embracing the power of art
Many artists discover their passion through exhibitions and museums. In these spaces the realisation dawns, and with it the desire to make art. It can strike at 15 or in your 70s. Age is irrelevant; what matters is that the experience opens the way to creativity.
Fostering meaningful connections
Sales are not the main focus of the exhibition, but they are a meaningful way for collectors to show appreciation for an artist’s work. Connexions is non-profit, and any sale is arranged directly with the artist. We are sincerely grateful to MK Library for generously providing the space; without it this exhibition would not be possible.
