Celebrating Artistic Diversity
At Connexion 2024, our mission is multifaceted. First, our aim is to create an independent art event providing artists with a platform to showcase their work and express themselves visually. It’s an opportunity for artists to curate their own best pieces, offering a glimpse into their artistic essence.
The emphasis lies in artists selecting what they believe to be their most significant and impactful works, showcasing not just one or two pieces, but a series or personal favorites.
Inclusive Approach
This inclusive approach encompasses sculptures, photographs, textile art, and oil paintings. Despite Milton Keynes boasting a thriving art community, much of its talent remains unseen by the public, often limited to exhibiting a select few pieces at special occasions revolving around specific themes.
Unlocking Hidden Treasure
Another important aspect is that the general public has the opportunity to immerse themselves in these unseen works, experiencing them in real life rather than solely through a digital screen. Art holds the power to touch us in profound ways, leaving a lasting impact that we may not easily forget.
It has the potential to be transformative, whether it’s through evoking powerful emotions, sparking personal revelations, or simply captivating us with its beauty and inspiration.

Embracing the Power of Art
Many artists discover their passion for art through exhibitions or museums. It’s in these spaces that the realization dawns upon us, igniting a desire to pursue artistic endeavors. This revelation can strike individuals of any age, from 15-year-olds to those in their 70s. Age is inconsequential; what truly matters is that these experiences pave the way for embracing art and creativity.
Fostering Meaningful Connections
While sales are not the primary focus of our exhibition, they serve as a meaningful way for collectors to show appreciation for the artists’ work. It's important to emphasize that this exhibition operates on a non-profit basis. We extend our sincere gratitude to the MK Library for generously providing us with the space, without which this exhibition would not be possible.
Our success lies not in sales, but in the exposure and appreciation of the artwork. Any sales that may occur will involve direct contact with the artist. An original artwork holds intrinsic value beyond mere investment; it becomes a statement piece, enriching the space it inhabits and reflecting the personality and taste of its owner.
